Catalina · SMCA (No-Take)
Blue Cavern Onshore State Marine Conservation Area
Can a freediver take anything here?
No
Nothing may be speared here.
The regulation, in CDFW’s words
It is unlawful to injure, damage, take, or possess any living, geological, or cultural marine resource. Also, no anchoring or mooring is permitted within the former Catalina Marine Science Center Marine Life Refuge.
Regulations change. This is what the page said when it was read; check CDFW before you take anything.

Download GPX Corner waypoints plus the boundary as a track. Loads into Garmin, Raymarine, Simrad and Lowrance plotters, and into Navionics, Aqua Map and iNavX. A navigation aid, not the legal boundary — GPS error and a mean-high-tide landward edge mean you should not shave the line.
